01 — Executive summary

Khadimou Rassoul Community Centre — Keur Serigne Touba

A permanent, multi-purpose hub for prayer, Islamic education, youth development, and community cohesion in Birmingham.

Touba Tawfeex is a dedicated community organisation committed to serving the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Muslim and wider community in Birmingham. Our flagship initiative, Khadimou Rassoul Community Centre — Keur Serigne Touba, will accommodate a rapidly growing congregation and expanding programmes.

Birmingham is a vibrant, diverse city, but local facilities are struggling to keep pace with the needs of our youth, families, and elders. Keur Serigne Touba will serve as a sanctuary for prayer, a centre for Islamic education, a safe space for youth development, and a key venue for civic participation.

Our mission is to provide accessible Islamic education, foster youth leadership, support families, and create a welcoming environment that bridges cultural gaps across Birmingham.

Inspired by the teachings of Khadim Rassoul — peace, service, and community upliftment.

03 — Why Birmingham needs this

Our current premises can no longer hold the congregation.

Overcrowding has forced us to limit enrolment in educational programmes and restrict community gatherings. A larger, purpose-built centre will unlock expanded services for families and a central touchpoint for integration in the city.

At the core of Keur Serigne Touba is a commitment to young people in Birmingham, who face unprecedented challenges. The centre will act as a proactive intervention space — a madrassa, educational programmes, and youth clubs that form confident, responsible, and civically engaged citizens.

Equipped with modern learning tools, we will empower them with leadership skills and a strong moral foundation rooted in Islamic values.
